MORRISTOWN, NJ – The Morristown High School wrestling team competed in a tri-match against Caldwell and Belleville at Caldwell on Saturday, Jan. 25.

Despite losing both matches, the Colonials did have a number of wrestlers prevail.

Against Belleville (38-33 loss), Morristown won six matches. Mason Gervasio at 106 (forfeit), Connor Joel at 120 (pin, 1:58), Giovanni Rivera at 132 (4-0 decision), Abdullah
Abdul-Hakin at 145 (pin, 5:39), Ryan Jackson at 170 (forfeit) and Robert Murphy at 182 (pin, 1:35) all won for Morristown.

In a 51-24 loss to Caldwell, the Colonials had five winners: Gervasio (8-5 decision), Rivera (forfeit), Abdul-Hakin (8-3 decision), Connor Watson at 152 (pin, 18 seconds)
and Jackson at 160 (pin, 2:25) won for Morristown.

Morristown will wrestle at Morris Hills Tuesday night at 6:30.
