4/2/17: FOUND NARCOTICS PARAPHERNALIA: Officers were conducing a foot patrol detail at Patriots' Path, Speedwell Lake area in Morristown when they discovered glassine envelopes, glass vials, and a glass pipe, which are usually used to store and ingest heroin and cocaine. Incident turned over to the Detective Bureau.

4/3/17: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers observed a suspicious vehicle at Columbia Trail in Washington. An investigation led to Herbert L. Smith, age 40, of Sandusky, OH, to be charged with Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoid. He was released with a court date pending.

4/3/17: SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Officers were dispatched to Central Park of Morris County in Parsippany on multiple reports of a male running around acting peculiar. This individual was eventually located and removed from the area without incident.

4/3/17: SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Officers were dispatched to Pyramid Mountain Natural Historic Area in Montville on a report of trees and items in the area that had been burned. Incident turned over to the Detective Bureau.

4/3/17: SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Officers were dispatched to Hedden County Park in Randolph on a report of damage to the outdoor fireplace. Incident turned over to the Detective Bureau.

4/3/17: ILLEGAL DUMPING: Officers were dispatched to Columbia Trail in Washington Township on a report of numerous large items discarded in the area. Incident turned over to the Detective Bureau.

4/4/17: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS/WARRANT: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for an equipment violation in Pequannock. An investigation led to Kimberly A. Gatewood, age 20, of Pompton Lakes, to be charged with Possession of Pills Without a Prescription, and Casey A. Lightwood, age 24, of Ringwood, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. He was also discovered to have a warrant for failure to appear in Ringwood Municipal Court. They were both released with a court date pending.

4/5/17: MEDICAL EMERGENCY: Officers were dispatched to Central Park of Morris County  in Parsippany on a report of a 44-year-old male who suffered a head injury while playing kickball. E.M.S. responded and transported the patient to the hospital for further observation and/or treatment.

4/7/17: SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Officers were dispatched to Pyramid Mountain Natural Historic Area in Montville on a report of a suspicious male. This subject was located and an investigation revealed the situation was a misunderstanding. All parties advised.
