WASHINGTON – Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) announced Nicholas Poche of Morristown has completed an internship in the Seventh District lawmaker's s Capitol Hill office.  Poche is a rising senior at Colgate University where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Information Technology.

“I want to thank Nicholas for his service to the people of New Jersey's Seventh Congressional District.  Nicholas is an extremely capable young man who worked hard during his time with our office and always carried a positive attitude.  I was pleased to be able watch Nicholas thrive professionally and I am confident he will be successful in his future professional and academic pursuits.”

“Interning on the Hill has been a fantastic learning experience.  I’m deeply grateful to have been given this opportunity and I hope to take forward the lessons that I’ve learned in a future public service career.” Poche noted.

Interns in Lance’s congressional office perform a variety of duties, including preparing briefings and reports for staffers, facilitating and guiding tours of the U.S. Capitol for visiting residents, greeting office visitors, and assisting staff with legislative research projects as well as constituent correspondence.  Lance’s office has hosted more than 400 constituent students in the internship program.
