WESTFIELD, NJ — Broadway soloists will perform American musical favorites at the New Jersey Festival Orchestra’s upcoming special New Years Eve performance in Westfield.
The soloists will include Mikki Sodergren, Cooper Grodin and Analisa Leaming. The concert, titled “On the Town,” will feature musical numbers ranging from Gershwin to Disney.
“The lineup of this year’s family-friendly program reads like a Who's Who of the best of American musical theater,” music director David Wroe said. “It’s a chance for adults to reminisce to songs they all know, for kids to learn more about and enjoy some of the most exciting characters to grace the stage and screen and for us all to revel in the genius of America’s finest composers.”
The performance will take place in the Westfield High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Wroe promised that the show will be fun for both adults and kids.
“It’s a superb review of American stage, screen and television musicals presented in glorious symphonic splendor that will be appreciated by young and not-so-young alike,” Wroe said.
