WHIPPANY, NJ - Tim Lizura, president and chief operating officer of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, will be the keynote speaker at the 12th Annual Business Growth Forum being hosted by the Morris County Economic Development Corporation Wednesday, Sept. 21, 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Birchwood Manor in Whippany.
Lizura will speak about how NJEDA incentives help grow and expand businesses within the state.
Lizura joined the EDA in 1996 and was named president and COO in 2012. While with the EDA he has served as a member of the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Planning Authority and as a designee to the South Jersey Transportation Authority. He also served for two years at the Port Authority of NY & NJ as director of the World Trade Center Redevelopment Department. Earlier positions included four years with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and as chair of the New Jersey Biotechnology & Life Sciences Coalition.
The forum also will feature a morning panel discussion, Perspectives in Growth, with Ed Ahart, chair of the corporate practice group at Schenk, Price, Smith & King; William Miley, general manager at the Alcoa plant in Dover; and Thomas Ripsam, a partner at PwC.
