NORTH CALDWELL, NJ – There are few things better for a lacrosse team to have than balanced scoring.
Morristown’s girls laxsters got just that on Wednesday afternoon.
The Colonials breezed to their fourth consecutive win to start the season by pasting West Essex by a 15-5 count on the Black Knights’ home field. Eight different Morristown players scored in this one, including five with multi-goal efforts.
 The offensive production was led by Annika Begley with 3 goals and 3 assists. Callie Sundin logged 3 goals with 1 assist while Sarah Grace Plott scored 2 goals and had 2 assists. Nicole Ferrara had 2 goals and 1 assist. Victoria Ferrara scored 2 goals while Sarah Chupak logged a goal and an assist while Rachel Langenahl and Ava Plott each scored a goal.
Shelby Clarke, Mackenzie Siverson and Logan Heher also contributed on the attack side of the field. 
Morristown—which leaped out to a 7-4 lead at half before blitzing West Essex in the second half—received ten saves from Amelia Drake while defenders Linnea BegleyKei MurphyGrace Godfrey and Tara Goldhirsch offered fine protection in holding West Essex to a mere 5 goals.
Morristown was relentless in their pursuit of the ball today as Callie Sundin had 5 caused turnovers while Nicole Ferrara and Tara Goldhirsch each logged a caused turnover. Annika Begley had a very nice interception in the second half of the contest.
The girls continue with a home game Saturday at 5pm.
