MORRISTOWN, NJ - Although the 2018 baseball season has come to an end for the Morristown High School baseball team, five players will be showcasing their talents at the Senior and Underclass Games at Diamond Nation in Flemington, NJ

Brennan O'Neill (RHP/3B) and David Haberman (C) will take the field for Morristown at the Senior Games at Diamond Nation on Tuesday June 12. Both seniors will continue their baseball career at Seton Hall University in the fall. The Northwest Team is made up of 25 players from Morris, Essex, Union and Warren Counties. These two Colonials will join Billy Brice (Delbarton), DJ Gonnelli (Governor Livingston), Matt Stamford (Chatham), Gordan Craceffo (Cranford), Cory HIltz (Westfield), Manny Corporan (Bloomfield), Steven Sgaramella (Seton Hall Prep), Mike Verzaleno (Mt. Lakes), Peter Serruto (Millburn), Andy Axelson (Roxbury), Chris Wagner (Westfield), Peter DeMaria (Chatham), Shane Benson (Cedar Grove), Joe Dellostritto (Montville), Dan Serretti (Governor Livingston), Sam Schetelich (Scotch Plains-Fanwood), Luke Jacson (Columbia), Tommy Moore (Warren Hills), Christian Pierre (Columbia), Chris Walker (West Orange), Max Ruvo (West Essex), Ryan Sheppard (Seton Hall Prep), Sean Klimek (Pequannock). 

When reflecting on the past year and the senior class, Coach Collins had this to say, "this senior class accomplished a great deal in their four years. A state sectional championship and MCT championship. It is my hope that they leave our program knowing that they will never regret working hard and when they are faced with adversity, take a deep breath a push forward. I am extremely proud of them and honored to say I coached them'.

Representing Morristown at the Underclass Games on Wednesday June 13, will be juniors Tate Ballestero (catcher), Caden Tierney (RHP) and sophomore Pat Montfort (LHP).  The Underclass games selects 100 players from across the state. Four teams of 25 man teams will face off simultaneously in a doubleheader played on adjacent fields.  

Coach Collins will utilize the skills from these underclassman  as well as from Joe Pucek, Justin Barrett, Sam Slackman and Andrew Dzikowski as he looks to set goals for next year.

"The plan for next year is the same as every year at MHS baseball," said Coach Collins. "Set our goals..Win the conference, MCT and States. The future is bright with returning starters."
