PARSIPPANY, NJ - Parsippany's former Council Vice President Robert Peluso has announced that he is withdrawing his candidacy for Morris County Freeholder this morning.
Peluso made this statement: “Unfortunately, my family obligations have changed dramatically in the last week. Due to personal issues confronting my family I will not be able to commit the time necessary to run a county-wide campaign effectively. After considering the needs of my family at this time, and the time required for a campaign, I feel I cannot proceed with the campaign. My family and I would like to thank everyone who supported me. I look forward to future contests and hope that I can serve our community in a different capacity during this time.”
Since Hank Lyons dropped out of the race earlier this week, that leaves five (5) candidates vying for three (3) positions. The remaining candidates are Aura Dunn and John Cesaro who are running as a team along with Deb Smith, John Krickus and Steve Shaw who are running as a separate team.
