Sometimes you have all day to shop and prepare tasty snacks for a party. And sometimes you don't.

Either way, this recipe lets you impress your friends with a spicy homemade hummus that’s ready in minutes using items from your pantry: canned chickpeas (a.k.a. garbanzo beans), tahini (sesame paste) and hot sauce.

It’s great drizzled with olive oil and served with pita chips or raw vegetables.

This hummus is also great for spicing up sandwiches.

If you’re making it ahead of time, keep your hummus in the refrigerator until ready to serve. 

Buffalo Hummus:

1 can (15.5 oz.) chickpeas, drained, rinsed

¼ cup tahini

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

¼ cup Frank’s Red Hot Sauce (original flavor)

2 Tbs. apple cider vinegar

1 clove garlic, minced

Combine all ingredients in the bowl of a food processor. Process until smooth.

Transfer to serving bowl. If desired, drizzle with additional olive oil and serve with pita chips.
