MORRISTOWN, NJ - Power outages continue for residents in Morristown. According to JCP&L's outage, Washington Avenue, Western Avenue, Wetmore Avenue, Colles Avenue, South Street, Knollwood Road, Speedwell Place, Skyline Drive, Franklin Street, Olmstead Road, Sylvan Way, Oak Drive, Woodruff Road, Normandy Parkway, Madison Avenue and Erskine Drive are without power.

The power comany has stated that they have "more than 8,000 utliity personnel from JCP&L, other FirstEnergy companies and partner utilities who are continuing to work to restore power.

"Service has been restored to more than 696,000 JCP&L customers – more than 88% of the 788,000 customers impacted by Tropical Storm Isaias", said JCP&L. "More than 9,000 utility personnel continue working to restore power to about 92,000 customers who remain without power. Based on current outages and damage assessments, some difficult restorations may extend into early next week. We project that these customers in both the Northern and Central Regions are expected to be restored by Tuesday, August 11, at 11:30 p.m".

Morristown residents without power will be able to use the following charging locations:

  • Woodland Fire Company at 20 Dwyer Lane 8am - 8pm
  • Fairchild Fire Company at 2 Burnham Road 8:00am - 8:00pm
  • Hillside Firehouse at 125 Western Avenue 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Residents are asked to wear a mask and follow appropriate social distancing.
