MORRIS PLAINS, NJ - More than $2,000 collected this spring by a local Knights of Columbus was donated to The Arc/Morris County, located in Morris Plains.
Frank Wos, former grand knight of St. Therese Council 6320 in Succasunna, presented a check for more than $2,000.00 to Arc Morris President Wendy Utberg.
The Knights collect money every springtime to support local charity operations. Of the money collected, 100% is passed through to supported charities including such as ARC Morris, Catholic Charities Department of Persons with Disabilities and Birth Haven.
Incorporated in 1953 as the Morris County Unit of the New Jersey Parents Group for Retarded Children, The Arc/Morris County Chapter is the largest provider of services for people affected by intellectual and related developmental disabilities and their families in Morris County.
The Arc/Morris envisions a world in which people with intellectual disabilities and their families are valued and have the opportunity to achieve their highest level of self-sufficiency, independence and inclusion possible. As such, we are dedicated to the care, support and advancement of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
