TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy did not hold a press conference on Saturday but did release the newest number of positive cases of COVID-19 and deaths from around the state. 

In New Jersey, there are 438 new cases with 49 new deaths. Statewide, there are 174,959 positive cases and 13,578 deaths, and 1,947 probable COVID deaths.

According to Murphy, Bergen County has 19,847 positive cases, and followed by Hudson (19,089), Essex (18,988), Passaic (17,050), and Middlesex (17,020), with 647 under investigation.  There are a total of 1,756 deaths in Bergen County, while Essex County, continues to lead the state with 1,821, according to Governor Murphy.

As of 10 p.m. Friday, Murphy noted there were 972 patients in the hospital being treated for COVID-19, with 166 patients were in ICU or critical care, and 87 patients on ventilators. There were 78 live patients discharges from the hospital.
