MORRISTOWN, NJ – The Morristown varsity baseball team, led by Coach Ed Collins is coming off its first sectional championship in over a decade and many of its key players are returning this season.

Clean-up hitter and backstop David Haberman will be expected to drive in the runs this year and is expected to commit to a college very soon. Additionally, several players, who came off the bench last year will be expected to fill the gaps in the batting order including outfielder Colin Burke, second baseman Andrew Gold and utility position player Tate Ballestero to build off last year’s success.
On the pitching side, the Colonials will turn to junior Brennan O’Neill, a three-year starter that pitched in every 2016 state game and had a 4-2 record with a 1.20 ERA last year. He has committed to play for Seton Hall University.
