MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Morristown High School freshman softball team, under Don Trifari has a lot to be proud of.
Despite the rainy season, the Colonials started off the season in a big way by shutting out Parsippany Hills, 17-0. The team which consisted of eleven players, finished the 2019 season with a record of 5-1.
"The next two games were won by an impressive run margin of 35 to 4", said coach Trifari. "We suffered our only loss of the season against a strong Westfield team in which we led through five innings, but ended up losing 6-9".
The team's motto was; “If you can pitch it. I can hit it. If you can hit it. I can catch it. If I were you, I’d turn around and go home.”
The Colonials ended the season on a high note after defeating North Warren and Randolph. The team scored an impressive 88 runs in 8 games.
