SHOES THAT CHANGE LIVES

You have a chance to change a life. You're invited to a party with a purpose: shoe-cutting parties recycle old blue jeans into shoe uppers. Shipped to Africa, the uppers are then sewn and attached to soles made from locally recycled tires. Local tailors and shoemakers carefully craft the Sole Hope shoes that are then given out at medical clinics. Take the first step to helping people in Africa... the journey begins with you, recycled jeans, a pair of scissors, and friends.

The United Methodist Church in Madison will be hosting a Sole Hope Shoe Cutting Party on October 23, 2016. It will take place at the UMC at 24 Madison Avenue, at 11:30 am in Fellowship Hall. Please bring scissors, and denim jeans if you have some to donate. A donation of $10 is welcome, to sponsor a pair of shoes. This event is open to all members of the community and all ages are welcome. Bring a friend!
