SPARTA, NJ – Sparta boys soccer lost to Morristown on Thursday at home.  The Sparta goal came from Thomas Radon on an assist from Sean Mc Hugh. 

The game winning goal came on a goal-kick against Scott Altieri.  Altiere stopped the first attempt at the penalty kick by Morristown’s Arturo Ruiz.  The referee, however, called for the ball to be rekicked and on the second try the goal was good.

Altieri had 13 saves against Morristown.

Sparta’s record now stands at 4-8-3.  They will travel to Mount Olive on Oct 20.
