MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ -  Who is the strongest superhero? There has been some debate on the internet as to who the strongest superheros are. According to, it is Sentry (3rd),  Thor (2nd) and The Hulk (1st) who top their list. However, it might just be the 900 runners that were strong enough to participate in the 2018 Superhero Half Marathon on Sunday May 20 at Ginty Field in Morris Township. 

Runners dressed as superheros as well as those not in costume ran 13.1 miles through Morris Township and Chatham.  Laurent White of Flemington was the overall winner with a time of 1:21:07. In second place was Kevin Fitzgerald of Wharton and Michael Koch of Roxbury finished third. Hugo Le Roux of Morristown placed 10th overall with a time of 1:32:07.

Elena Rozhko of Morristown placed 9th overall and first in the women's division with a time of 1:31:10. In the female top finishers category, it was Jayne Macedo of Kearny in 2nd with a time of 1:35:36 and Mary Amato of Basking Ridge in 3rd with a time of 1:35:55.

The course began at Ginty Field and ended at Loantaka Park. The event was sponsored by Chatham's Argent Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, Armstrong Air, WDHA, Atlantic Health, Madison Honda, Culligan, Munk Pack, Jersey Central Power & Light and Smith Chiropractic and Wellness Center.
