MORRISTOWN, NJ - Every team needs a player that can play big consistently, and be relied on in the clutch— Morristown Girls Lacrosse Player Allie Ferrara has been that player since her freshman year.

Ferrara's individual statistics are impressive. For the 2015 season, Ferrara has scored 19 goals, tallied 17 assists, totaling 36 points for the Lady Colonials. She scored her 200th career goal and 300th point early in the season against Westfield.

For her performance on and off the field as well as her individual statistics, TAP into Morristown has named Allie Ferrara, Athlete of the Week.

"Allies numbers are amazing.  She started off strong her freshman year as a varsity start and every year has grown and improved as a player drastically", stated coach Evan Mager.  "She has without a doubt made her name stand out among the top Morris County Lacrosse players and NJ lacrosse players".

She credits her teammates for the success they have seen. She said,  "Nothing great was ever accomplished on the lacrosse field without a great team behind a player."

Ferrara is looking to lead by example. She wants to be the best athlete she can be but doesn't like focusing on the personal aspects of the game. "2015 is going to be our year. We have been looking forward to this year since we were freshmen. Now we, 3 senior captains and myself, will rise to the challenge of leading Morristown to the state group finals again -- just with a different ending. That is our goal."

In addition to lacrosse, Allie is a multi sport athlete playing basketball for 3 years and running track for 1 year.   Her coach agrees that she is an asset to any  team.  "Allie has made her mark at Morristown and it is one that will never be forgotten", reflected Coach Mager.  "She has been a pleasure to coach and will be missed next year".

Allie will continue her lacrosse career by playing at Louisville next season.
