MORRIS PLAINS, NJ - With many businesses closing down, some keep moving forward. This includes the Teri DiGrande State Farm Agency and their new location in Morris Plains.

State Farm provides insurance for auto, home, business, life, banking products and even pet insurance through Trupanion. And at its head, there is insurance agent Teri DiGrande.

Teri DiGrande, herself has been working in the insurance world for 34 years, with 27 of those years for State Farm come this January. Last July marked her 10th anniversary as an agent in Morris Plains and had even received the "Key to the City" by district Mayor Jason Karr. She lives with her husband Frank of 27 years in North Caldwell, with whom she has two grown daughters Samantha and Devyn.

With DiGrande is her insurance team, consisting of Christine Hoey, from Morris Plains, who has been a team member for over 10 years, Marisa Caponi, who started with DiGrande over a year ago and is also studying in Grad School to be a child psychologist, Kayla Mills, who recently started in May after graduating from Kutztown University, and Taylor Krannich just started this past month fresh out of the fashion world. No matter how many years of experience, DiGrande says this insurance team is effective, with the hopes of Krannich and Mills showing promise of becoming State Farm agents themselves in the near future.

The biggest project that Teri DiGrande State Farm Agency is undergoing is moving to a new location in Morris Plains.

The current office is located at 724 Speedwell Avenue, but by December 21st, the insurance agency will be at 442 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, where they will share the office with the Townsend & Associates staffing firm. The building is right across the street from Investors Bank and next to the Morris Plains School District building.

"Since we had an auto rate decrease on August 31st of an average of 16 percent, our rates are extremely competitive," said DiGrande. "We are outgrowing our office space and growing our team, hence the reason for our move to a larger location and more visibility to keep up with the ever changing needs of our clients. Our team has maintained COVID protocols, providing masks to our customers and team members, sanitizing desks and workspaces and rotating work hours and in-person appointments to limit exposure. This new space will allow for even further distancing for everyone."

Yet, even as this State Farm business practices COVID safety standards, its team never forgets what is most important when reaching out to the people they serve and improve their lives.

"We are thrilled to be able to continue to grow and continue providing the best customer service to our community," said DiGrande. "We remind ourselves that our competition is coming at us harder and fiercer each day. We must show our value with every single customer interaction and prove why we are better than the rest.

Why do business with the Teri DiGrande Agency?

"Because we really do care about our customers and their families", said DiGrande. "We know their kids and their pets! We know when they graduate high school and college and when they get married and have grandchildren. At State Farm, our mission is to help our customers recover from the unexpected and realize their dreams. In my office, we welcome strangers, but they leave as friends."
