MORRISTOWN, NJ - From the start of the game, Summit came out strong and scored 5 unanswered goals before Morristown was able to get on the scoreboard. Summit continued to tally goals throughout the game, despite a late run by the Colonials in the last five minutes of the game.
Annika Begley led the scoring for Morristown’s offense with 3 goals. Nicole Ferrara added 1 goal. Linnea Begley tallied an assist.
On the opposing side, goals were scored by Helen Johnson (3 goals), Ava Spotts (2 goals), Julia Szynal (2 goals) and Katie Carnevale (2 goals). Anna DiSibio, Anna Griffith, Anna Huntley-Robertson, Sophie Zachara, and Cecily Stabler each chipped in one for the Hilltoppers.
Friday’s contest was very active for the Colonials’ defensive unit. Amelia Drake registered 7 saves in net.
The Morristown Colonials will start their run in the North I Group 4 state tournament next week. Following a first-round bye, the Colonials' second-round state game is slotted for Friday, May 19th.

Morristown will face the winner of Mt. Olive and Columbia.
