The following letter was sent to Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen today in response to this video clip: http://tinyurl.com/ydh6j7na

Dear Congressman Frelinghuysen,

In light of the recent exchange with one of your constituents at the White Meadow Lake festival in Rockaway last weekend, I would like to offer my assistance.

During your conversation with the resident, Emily Kullmann, you seemingly agreed to participate in an in-person Town Hall meeting with constituents. With that commitment in mind, I would like to offer either our municipal council chambers in Woodland Park, or in the event a larger venue is needed, to arrange for said Town Hall to be conducted at Passaic Valley Regional High School in Little Falls.

Our staff has organized multiple Town Hall meetings in the past for myself, Senator Kevin O’Toole, and Congressman Bill Pascrell Jr. We would be more than happy to do the same for you.

The need for elected officials to engage directly, and in person, with constituents is critical to being in touch with their concerns, ideas and opinions. Our job is to be their voice at each level of government and that begins with listening to our residents. It is, quite frankly, imperative to our collective success.

I am hopeful you will take me up on this offer and expect to hear from you soon.

Keith Kazmark
Mayor
Borough of Woodland Park
