MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Town of Morristown has opened warming centers in response to the dropping temperatures. A warming center will be open at the Morristown Fire Department, located at 161 Speedwell Avenue on Friday, March 3 at 6pm through Saturday March 4 at 8am. The warming center will reopen Saturday March 4 at 6pm and remain open until Sunday March 5 at 8am.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures are expected to fall into the teens this weekend. The Town of Morristown activates its Warming Centers when temperatures drop below 20 degrees. The Town would like to remind residents that this is a warming center and not a shelter.

Take precautions during these frigid temperatures. If possible, stay indoors and when venturing outside, dress appropriately. Taking preventive action is your best defense against injury caused by extreme cold weather.
