MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ - Lock your car doors. That is what residents in Morris Township are being told after two recent thefts.

 "We are urging residents to always lock their vehicle and home doors during the overnight", said Morris Township Police Chief Mark DiCarlo.  "We also encourage residents to report suspicious behavior to the police immediately".

According to police, on Monday and Tuesday evening, vehicles on Columbia Road, Normandy Parkway and Lindsley Drive were broken into. Two reports were reported to police regarding suspicious activity and thefts from vehicles. One of the victims was able to get video footage of the suspects entering the vehicle and then peering into the home, said police. The individuals wore masks and gloves, said police.

As of now, police believe the suspects are male. No other description is available.

There will be a heavy police presence in the area related to these most recent events. Residents are reminded to lock their car doors and doors to their homes and report any suspicious behavior immediately.
