MORRISTOWN, NJ – The annual Two Kids Foundation Charity Car Show, one of the area’s premiere events of its kind, will mark its 14th year of drawing spectators throughout the region to see hundreds of classic and custom cars while supporting families of pediatric cancer patients.
On Sunday August 2, drivers will display their classic, muscle, sports and TV specialty cars at the Birchwood Manor, 111 North Jefferson Avenue, Whippany from 9-5pm. In addition to viewing the cars, the event will feature fun activities and games for kids, live musical performance and DJ, vendors, and a food court.
All proceeds benefit the Two Kids Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises money to help children that have been diagnosed with cancer and other serious diseases. Atlantic Health System’s Goryeb Children’s Hospital will again sponsor the car show. Each year, the Valerie Fund Children’s Center at Goryeb Children’s Hospital, which treats children with cancer and blood-related diseases, helps the Two Kids Foundation identify pediatric patients whose families are in need of assistance.
The car show is the foundation’s primary fundraising event, and has allowed the organization to assist numerous families during difficult times in their lives and the lives of their children for more than a decade. The foundation also hosts an annual dinner dance.
“It is heartwarming to see that this event has become an honored tradition not only for aficionados of collectable cars, but for those who wish to generously help make the lives of many families a little bit easier,” said Glenn Wiederman, executive director of the Two Kids Foundation.
All vehicles are welcome – cars, trucks, motorcycles and military. Dash plaques will be given to the first 600 vehicles, and more than 150 sponsored trophies for entries 25 years or more.
