MORRISTOWN, NJ -  Two Morristown-Beard School graduates — Trevor Baptiste ’14 of Denville and Teddy Hatfield ’15 of Summit — are ranked in the top five in the poll ranking the 50 best Division 1 lacrosse players hailing from New Jersey high schools.  No other high school in New Jersey has multiple players ranked in the top five.

Hatfield ’15, now a sophomore at the University of Richmond, is ranked second overall while Baptiste’14, a junior at the University of Denver, is ranked fourth among New Jersey graduates.

In his first 12 games this season, Teddy Hatfield has scored 26 goals and added 21 assists for a total of 47 points.  Earlier in the month, he tied his own school record with eight points — four goals and four assists — as Richmond defeated High Point, 12-4.  At MBS, Hatfield was named the Daily Record Player of the Year and earned First Team All-State honors in 2015 and Third Team All-State honors in 2014.  During his high school career, he tallied 227 goals and 190 assists for a total of 417 points for the Crimson.
