MORRISTOWN, NJ - On Saturday, June 18, ShopRite customers will be given the opportunity to meet New Jersey native and team USA soccer player, Tobin Heath.
The soccer professional will be taking a break from her training to meet with individuals at the ShopRite on East Hanover Avenue in the Greater Morristown area. There will be a one hour meet and greet from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
During that time, Heath will talk with fans, sign autographs and discuss her journey. The twenty-eight year old started as a soccer player at Ridge High School in Basking Ridge and moved on to become a two-time Olympic gold medalist and FIFA Women's World Cup silver medalist and gold medalist. Heath will also be participating in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
In addition, the star will be discussing her idea to host a soccer camp for local boys and girls later this year. All ShopRite customers can help support her goal by purchasing Procter and Gamble products like Bounty, Charmin and Dawn. The camp aims to train approximately 250 kids from Boys and Girls Clubs.
This is not the first time Heath has taken time to meet with fans in her home state. In July 2015, the celebrated soccer player visited her hometown to meet with fans for over two hours.
