MADISON, NJ - "An all clear has been issued and all staff are being moved back to their offices" said Mayor Bob Conley after Tuesday morning Madison Police were on the scene at the Hartley Dodge Memorial Building on Kings Road and the Morris County Bomb Squad was called in.
The Morris County Sheriff's bomb squad and K-9 dogs along with a helicopter overhead arrived shorty before 11a.m..
"The Morris County Prosecutors office received a threat. While we don't know how credible the threat is the County and Madison Public Safety is taking full precautions with a full sweep of the building. We will update when the sweep is completed. All Borough staff have been moved to the Public Safety Building," said Conley.
"No other areas of Madison have been threatened," said a source who asked to remain anonymous.
The Hartley Dodge Memorial Building houses most of Madison's borough offices, including the Mayor's office and also the court room.
