MORRISTOWN – The Morristown High School boys and girls swimming teams each capped off their regular seasons with victories on Thursday evening.
The girls destroyed Millburn by a 121-45 margin in winning nine of the meet’s 11 events, and finished their regular season campaign undefeated at 11-0.
The boys won 10 of their 11 races, and ultimately held off the Millers to win 98-72. They will enter the state tournament with a season’s mark of 10-2.
Zachary Crowe, Dennis DeLargy, and Justin Viotto were double winners for Morristown in their individual races, while Patric Hyland also added a victory in the 50-meter freestyle race with a time of 28.24
Viotto won the longer distance 200 and 500 freestyle races, while Grace Miller and Kelsey MacMillan did so for the girls team, respectively.
Emily Skilton doubled up on victories in the 50 and 100 freestyle sprint races. The combination of Alanna Lenihan, Sarah Gaynor, and Lauren Vogtman each won 100 meter races in the fly, backstroke, and breaststroke races.
