MORRISTOWN, NJ.- A Family Photo Scavenger Hunt contest will be taking place Tuesday July 4 through Monday September 4 at various parks throughout Morris County. The Morris Park Alliance is hosting the scavenger hunt which will give families the opportunity to snap and submit photos while walking around the various park grounds. 

“This is a fun activity that everyone in the family can be involved in, all while enjoying what our parks have to offer,” said Tom O’Dowd, Alliance President. “We hope this scavenger hunt leads to discovery and exploration of new areas.”

There are 12 parks to find inspiration from; Central Park, Great Swamp OEC, Loantaka Brook Reservation, Lewis Morris County Park, Schooley’s Mountain County Park, Cooper Gristmill, Traction Line Recreation Trail, Bamboo Brook OEC, Historic Speedwell, Pyramid Mountain NHA, Tourne County Park, Mahlon Dickerson Reservation.

Every four photos submitted equals one ticket for the prize drawing. Prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place winners. The first place prize includes Park Commission Fun Pack (admissions for family of 4) and a REI Co-op Half Dome 2 tent. The second place prize includes a backyard Game Pack with REI Co-op Special Edition Flash 18 Backpack. Third place prize includes a REI Co-Op Nalgene ‘40s logo Wide-Mouth Loop-Top Water Bottle - 32 fl. Oz, REI Co-Op Backpacker Weekend First-Aid Kit and a Backpack. 

There is no cost to participate. All registration must be completed by Friday, July 14.
