PARSIPPANY, NJ - Multiple Officers responded to the intersection of Route 46 and North Beverwyck Road for a male sleeping behind the wheel. Upon the arrival of responding officers, they observed a 2018 Ford F150 stopped in the left turn lane on Route 46 West. When Officers approached the vehicle, they heard “Vogue” by Madonna loudly playing and the driver, Michael Verdon, a 45 year old male from Hopatcong, NJ, sleeping in the driver’s seat.

After a brief investigation, he was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and transported to police headquarters. While there, he was charged with the following:

• Driving While Intoxicated
• Driving While Suspended
• Reckless Driving
• Failure to Exhibit Documents (Driver’s License) • Failure to Exhibit Documents (Registration Card) • Failure to Exhibit Document (Proof of Insurance) • Refusal to Take a Chemical Breath Test

• Revocation for Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test
He was also found to have 4 active warrants for his arrest out of three different jurisdictions. His custody was subsequently turned over to the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office.
