MORRISTOWN, NJ, June 6, 2018 -- Preschool Advantage has announced funding of preschool tuitions for 85 children at 24 partner preschools for the 2018-2019 academic year.  The selected children hail from 36 different communties in Northern New Jersey.  These families would not be able to afford preschool for their children without the support provided by Preschool Advantage and the partner schools.

Each family is deeply committed to providing their children with an early education; however, there is very limited availability of publicly funded preschool.  “While there are federally funded programs to cover the cost of preschool for families living below the poverty line, working families making over that level have limited options.” said Molly Dunn, executive director for Preschool Advantage.  “There are thousands of families in New Jersey who cannot access a quality education for their child.  We are dedicated to addressing this need one child at a time.”

The Child Committee of Preschool Advantage has been busy reviewing applications since the beginning of the year.  Every year, the volunteers on the committee are pleased to be able to match families in need with a place at a quality preschool.  Since its inception over 20 years ago, almost 1,400 tuitions have been paid, and it is the organization’s goal to fund 100 tuitions each year by the year 2020.

Preschool Advantage provides children of local families in need with the foundation for a lifetime of successful learning by funding quality preschool education. Together with donors, supporters and community partners, the non-profit organization is providing opportunities for a lifetime learning that creates a better world for our students, their families and the community.  For a list of Preschool Advantage partner preschools or to learn more about Preschool Advantage, please visit our website at www.preschooladvantage.org or call 973-532-2501.
