MORRISTOWN, NJ - The love of opera doesn't have to end during the period of 'social distancing'. Opera lovers can now enjoy free steaming of past performances courtesy of the Metropolitan Opera.  The Met Opera will host "Nightly Met Opera Streams" on its official website.

The free streams of past performances will begin at 7:30pm each night and then will be available for an additional 20 hours thereafter, said the organization.

“We’d like to provide some grand opera solace to opera lovers in these extraordinarily difficult times,” said Met General Manager Peter Gelb in a press release. “Every night, we’ll be offering a different complete operatic gem from our collection of HD presentations from the past 14 years.”
