MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Township of Morris is looking for a Summer Lab Intern for the Township of Morris Water Pollution Control Utility.
The individual would need to be available four days a week; Monday through Friday from 8am - 3pm. The salary would be $11.00 an hour for 28 hours.
According to township officials, the description of the job is as follows: Laboratory Intern is needed to assist our environmental laboratory during the summer for seasonal pool sampling and testing of township pools.
Duties will include: the collection/testing of pool samples for pH, chlorine and microbes, preparation of reagents and agar used in testing, routine process testing for phosphates and ammonia use of pH meters, microscopes and cleaning of glassware. Intern will also be involved in our annual environmental monitoring of local lakes, ponds and rivers. All training will be provided.
Valid NJ driver license preferred, but not required.
