MORRISTOWN, NJ - Mayor Tim Dougherty has issued an Executive Order closing all barber shops, hair salons, licensed cosmetology businesses and massage establishments.

The closures go into effect Tuesday, March 17 at 8pm. These businesses must close and remain closed until further notice, said town officials.

“By the nature of their business, barber shops, salons, and massagen establishments service their customers within the six foot radius the CDC recommends to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The health and safety of our residents is our utmost priority and we will continue to take necessary actions to flatten the curve,” said Morristown Mayor Tim Dougherty.

Restaurants and bars are operating under their normal business hours, said town officials. They are not open to the public for seating, but normal take-out and delivery options are still in effect, they said.
