MORRISTOWN, NJ - The COVID-19 pandemic has shut down schools, businesses and retail establishments. While we sit home wondering when the state will reopen and go back to normal, the camp directors are looking toward the summer.
On April 2, 2020, camp directors, Stephanie Galvez and Brad Dzama posted a letter to parents regarding thoughts for camp this summer. Read the letter below:
Dear Camp Families,
As we continue to live in unnatural circumstances, and in a reality that is far from the norm, we wanted to reach out to you with some summer thoughts and positive energy. As many of our families continue to reach out to us about or Summer 2020 programming, I am happy to say that as of right now, the decision has been made to remain open for the camp season, which will begin on June 29th.
Of course, we will continue to monitor the situation and the unsought circumstances of COVID-19. We will follow those decisions of not only Morristown Beard School, but also those of the CDC and our government.
If a decision is made and we need to change our approach, we will reach out to our families as soon as that information is available. For now, let’s think of warm days, kids out of the house, and a fun filled summer outdoors!
We hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times.
If you have any questions or concerns, we will be available via email at email@example.com. We look forward to seeing you this summer!
Thank you, Steph and Brad
