The New Jersey Ski & Snowboard Council (NJSSC), founded in 1939, is a volunteer, non-profit organization representing 46 ski and board clubs throughout New Jersey, Metro New York City and Upstate New York. It has maintained a strong relationship with the snowsports community for the past 78 years.
The mission of the NJSSC is to promote amateur snowsports, assist in the development of new clubs, sponsor and run inter-club competition and generally foster club activity in snowsports. The member clubs do this by sponsoring snowsports related activities (trips, races, instruction, etc.) and also non-snowsports related activities (bicycling, sailing, rafting, tennis, etc.).
