MADISON, NJ -  Communities are asking residents to go outside on Monday March 30 and shout, clap, play music, honk your horns and make some noise to thank health care workers, first responders and all essential workers who have been risking their lives during this pandemic.

The movement, called "Clap Because We Care" is happening all around Morris County on Monday evening. 

Morris Township residents are asked to go outside at 6pm. Madison and Morris Plains will be clapping at 7pm. Morristown residents will begin clapping at 8pm.

"Along with acknowledging all health care workers, we also will be thanking our Morristown Police Officers, Fire Fighters, and our first responders", said Morristown officials. " Please open your windows, step out on the balcony or come outside to show your support".
