Morristown Moves - 2nd Annual Fitness Crawl Benefits The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life

MORRISTOWN, NJ –  The 2nd Annual Fitness Crawl will hit the streets of Morristown on Sunday March 12.  Morristown Moves is a community event bringing together fitness, wellness, and community. Between the hours of 8am and 3pm, take classes at South Street Yoga and Nutrition, Barre 3, Powerflow Yoga, 12 Stars Cross Fit, 26 Fitness, Cross Fit Morristown, and Golf Ect. Take one class or take them all. Chair, foot and scalp massages will be offered from B. Jones Organic Spa throughout the day

The event is free but a donation of $20 is suggested since the event benefits the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

 “Morristown is an amazing town with tons of fitness venues”, said Debbie Weinstein, Board certified Nutritionist, MS, HHC, owner of South Street Yoga and Nutrition.  “Morristown Moves is a way for the fitness community to band together, offer something fun and raise some money for a great cause, Relay for Life. It’s way to give back to our community.”

A special class titled Tuning your Chakras with Crystal Bowls and Yoga Class will be held Friday March 10 at 70 South Gallery.

The kick-off breakfast will take place at 8am at the Mayo Performing Arts Center. Guests can pick up a schedule of the days classes, receive goody bags and view prizes. A wrap up party will take place at Sona 12 from 2:30 – 4pm with drink specials, complimentary food and prizes.

Newark Airport Shuts Down Temporarily on Tuesday Evening Due to Airplane Engine Fire

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Liberty International Airport shut down at approximately 9 p.m. Tuesday evening due to an apparent engine fire of a plane as it was preparing for flight.  According to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, emergency response teams are at the scene and no injuries have been reported.

WASHINGTON, DC - New Jersey Rep. Leonard Lance (R-7th) on Wednesday announced that New Jersey Transit Corporation (NJ Transit) has been awarded a $10 million dollar federal grant from the Positive Train Control Grant Program.
