MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ - What event lasts 9 days and brings in over 12,000 people? If you guessed the Gingerbread Wonderland, you would be correct! The 27th Annual Gingerbread Wonderland at Frelinghuysen Arboretum is a candy lovers dream. The incredible masterpieces can be viewed from Friday December 6 through Sunday December 15. There is also a Craft Show on weekends.
The Gingerbread Wonderland gives people of all ages an opportunity to build a gingerbread house of their own. There are 6 categories within the contest. Individuals, families, schools and scout troops may enter their house in the Gingerbread contest. People walk around and view each gingerbread house and at the end of their walk through the exhibit, each spectator can cast their vote for their favorite gingerbread house.
Whether you enter the contest or simply enjoy looking at houses, the Gingerbread Wonderland is certainly a site to see. The houses can be viewed Monday - Thursday from 10am - 4:30pm, Fridays from 10am - 7:30pm and weekends from 10am - 4:30pm.
The Gingerbread Wonderland is located at 353 East Hanover Avenue in Morris Township and will be open through Sunday December 9.
