MORRISTOWN, NJ -  Two Morristown residents have graduated from local colleges and universities.

Emily Gechtman earned a degree  from the University of Vermont. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work. The university conferred degrees this year on an estimated 3,275 graduates, including 2,580 bachelor's, 452 master's, 138 doctoral and 105 medical degree recipients. The Class of 2019 includes graduates from 43 states and 36 countries.

Clayton McCollum received a bachelor of arts degree from Hamilton College on Sunday, May 26, at the Commencement ceremony concluding the college's 207th year. An economics and philosophy major, McCollum graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors in economics and philosophy and was recently elected to the Epsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at Hamilton College. McCollum now joins an alumni body of more than 23,000, many of whom have made important contributions to business, the professions, government and the arts.
