MORRISTOWN, NJ - Frelinghuysen Middle School students attended an assembly that focused on safe internet practices, bias crimes and bias incidents. Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Samantha DeNegri and Detective Supervisor Patrick LaGuerre of the Morris County Proseuctor's Office directed the assembly on safety.

Assistant Prosecutor DeNegri and Detective LaGuerre stressed the importance of teaching students the impact that of poor choices. They aimed to stress how poor decisions as a juvenile may have later in their lives. The students were instructed on the consequences that can occur from committing a bias crime, the differences between a bias crime and a bias incident, and the importance of practicing safe internet skills.

Following the presentation, students were able to ask any questions about what they learned.
