MORRISTOWN, NJ - On Monday, June 22nd, the Morris School District held a Board of Ed Meeting where Superintendent Mackey Pendergrast announced the launch of the website that will stream Morristown High School’s Virtual Graduation. The website was created by faculty, staff, and students to provide a way to celebrate the Class of 2020’s important milestone.
A variety of notable features have been included. An array of photos throughout the students’ school years can be viewed. Goodbye messages and tribute videos for retiring teachers can be seen as well.
Pendergrast is excited about the website “we really wanted this to be a great interactive space for the kids.”
Pendergrast also provided an update on the upcoming school year. While Governor Murphy has yet to announce how schools will reopen, the faculty will continue to develop plans for both virtual and in-person learning experiences depending on Murphy’s ruling. Ideally, the desire is to have students back in school in September.
Morristown High School’s virtual graduation will take place on Wednesday, June 24th at 7pm. The ceremony can be viewed at https://mhs.morrisschooldistrict.org/graduation.
