MORRISTOWN, NJ - Morristown Mayor Tim Dougherty issued an Executive Order directing food establishments to offer takeout and delivery service only.
In a statement, the mayor is restricting all food establishments, with and without a liquor license, from serving food or alcohol within their establishments. Effective Monday March 16 at 12noon, food establishments will only be permitted to conduct takeout and delivery service only.
The order remains in effect until further notice.
The intent of this measure is to prioritize the health and safety of our residents by limiting large gatherings and reinforcing social distancing, said the statement. The town encourages residents to continue to take every measure possible to reduce the spread of the virus including hand washing and surface sanitization in addition to social distance.
