MORRISTOWN, NJ - Morristown attorney Bob Gold has spent his entire life working to build his law practice here in town. He has successfully enhanced the lives of hundreds of people that have been victim of injury, accused of wrong doing and helping the indigent, said people who know him.

In addition to being a lawyer, he is the loving father of two and grandfather of two. After suffering for many years with kidney disease, he now finds himself in the unfortunate position of needing a kidney transplant.

"The waiting list for a kidney in New Jersey is 5 to 7 years", said Donna Tissot, who is advocating for Bob."In order for Bob to receive a kidney transplant sooner, we are seeking a living kidney donor for Bob".

"Blood group O is preferred but if you have another blood type please consider learning about living kidney donation too because kidney exchange or swap programs are available", said Tissot. "The Transplant Team at Saint Barnabas Living Donor Institute will carefully review your medical history initially to see if there is any reason you could not start the process to learn about living donation".

If you are interested in learning about living donation should contact the Living Donor Institute, Saint Barnabas Medical Center Livingston NJ.  Those interested in learning about living donation will need to undergo an in-person education/evaluation session with a physician, nurse, and social worker. They will need to include their spouse if married or if not married, a significant other/support person.

Close relatives and friends of Bob may be able to be evaluated for donation at out of state Transplant Centers but if you do not know Bob directly, you must be evaluated in person at Saint Barnabas.  The Living Donor Institute can provide you with more information.

All persons interested in learning about living donation should complete the online referral and a RN will call them to discuss their referral and provide them with additional information about living donation – and schedule an education/evaluation session if they wish.

"Please share this post with your friends and family with the hope that someone will be willing to share the gift of life with Bob", said Tissot.
