MORRISTOWN, NJ - Morris County's mobile social-services-center-on-wheels, Navigating Hope, will be at the Landlord Tenant Court in the Morris County Courthouse on Friday January 3 and 17. Navigating Hope offers on-site benefits eligibility screenings and application assistance, plus linkage to other community services. It is a partnership between the Morris County Department of Human Services and Family Promise of Morris County. Offerings include:
- EITC (tax credits)
- WIC (nutritional assistance)
- Aging services
- Domestic violence services
- Veterans services
- Health & wellness services
- Legal services
- Mental health
In addition to stopping in Morristown this week, Navigating Hope and the Sheriff's Hope One addiction services vehicle will be making joint stops at the Landlord Tenant Court, Morris County Courthouse on January 10, Project Homeless Connect on January 23 and at Nourish (formerly Community Soup Kitchen) on January 27.
“We are reaching out to residents in all areas of Morris County with Navigating Hope and Hope One to provide Stigma-Free assistance, counseling, and treatment for county residents in need,’’ said Morris County Freeholder Kathy DeFillippo, liaison to the county’s Human Services agencies. "These are residents who may not be able to travel to county offices or who have fallen through the cracks of the system".
