MORRISTOWN, NJ - Save your appetite for the 18th Annual Taste of Morristown, presented by the Rotary Club of Morristown. The event will showcase over 40 area restaurants on Monday, March 2 at the Westin Governor Morris Hotel.
The Rotary Club of Morristown has been around for almost 100 years as a member club of Rotary International, living up to the motto of Service Above Self. Each year the club fundraises to provide grants, service projects and support to the local community. A Taste of Morristown is the Rotary Club of Morristown’s annual major fundraiser, with all the funds raised being put back into the community in which we live and work.
Last year, the club provided grants to the following organizations: Deidre O’Brien Child Advocacy Center, First Night Morris 365, Girl Scouts of NNJ, Kasasule Health Center,
Macculloch Hall Historical Museum, Museum of Imagination and Innovation, CASA, Community Soup Kitchen and an ongoing Veterans program was established to provide much needed supplies to veterans in transitional housing. In addition, funding for a scholarship program at Morristown High School, an
Essay Contest for Morristown School District 4 th grade students, and over 2,000 books were collected by Rotarians at the Festival of Books and distributed to area school programs.
The restaurants currently attending include: The Artist Baker, Blue Morel, Central + Main American Eatery, Chef Fredy's Table, The Committed Pig, The Dublin Pub, Eclectic Grill, Enjou Chocolat, Fig & Lily Garden, George & Martha's American Grille, GK's Red Dog Tavern, Green Point Juicery, Guerriero's Ristorante, H2Ocean, Iron Bar, Mara's Cafe & Bakery, Millie's Old World Meatball & Pizza, Minuteman Smokehouse & Grill, Molly Malones Restaurant & Pub, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Nunzio's Dolce Vita, The Office Tavern & Grill, Revolution, A Social Brew House, Rod's Steak and Seafood Grille, Roots Steakhouse, South + Pine American Eatery, Stirling Tavern, Tiff's Grill & Ale House, Tito's Burritos & Wings,Town Bar & Kitchen, Urban Table. Wine and spirits will be coordinated by Gary’s Wines.
There are two ways to attend, as a VIP for $100 with entry to the event at 6:00 PM and includes first tastings, or $65 for general admissions at 7:00 PM.
