MORRISTOWN, NJ—It is essential to ensure that all households and communities are counted in the 2020 Census, said the League of Women Voters of New Jersey.
The Census is conducted once every ten years (as required by the U.S. Constitution) and impacts our state’s federal funding, political representation, and economic development.
According to officials, in August, census takers will start visiting households that haven't responded to the 2020 Census. Don't want census takers coming to your house? Then fill out the census before August 11.
All it takes is a few minutes by phone toll free (1-844-468-2020), online (my2020census.gov), or by mail. Responses to the Census are secure, protected by federal law, and cannot be shared with law enforcement agencies.
