MORRISTOWN, NJ - Morristown was added to the list of towns that have dropped Matt O'Donnell as attorney since the alleged bribery scandal took place over three weeks ago, that involved the Mayor's wife, Mary Dougherty.
Other towns that have severed ties with O'Donnell since the scandal broke include Hackensack, Middletown, Holmdel, Monmouth County, Bloomfield, Wall, Mount Arlington and Manalapan.
Not everyone feels that O'Donnell should have been let go. Former Councilwoman, Alison Deeb, stated today on Facebook that " Matt was a great tax attorney for the dozen years I served on the Town Council. He was well respected, and was prepared for every meeting with all of the facts and figures answering and addressing the many council questions."
O'Donnell was a Tax Appeal attorney who fought to recover taxes from the public. His firm was responsible for identifying, recovering and settling dozens of tax appeals for the town of Morristown.
