FLORHAM PARK, NJ -  Columbia Turnpike is one of the approved road paving projects that the Morris County Freeholders approved. The Freeholders approved a series of 2020 road paving projects in eight Morris COunty towns.

The following roads have been approved for paving:

  • River Road/Bush Road in Denville
  • Columbia Turnpike in Florham Park
  • Long Hill Road in Harding
  • Boonton Avenue in Kinnelon
  • Long Hill Road in Long Hill
  • Howard Boulevard in Mt. Arlington
  • Green Pond Road in Rockaway 

“Maintaining the high quality of our road and bridge network in Morris County is a priority issue for county government,’’ said Freeholder Stephen Shaw, the freeholder board’s liaison to county public works projects. “Continually investing in county roads and bridges has made Morris County THE Infrastructure County in New Jersey.’’

The freeholders, in the county’s 2020 capital budget, allocated $23 million for roads, bridges, railroads, and environmental cleanups, including 32.6 miles of resurfacing on county roads in 17 municipalities.

Additional county road paving projects include Whippany Road in Morris/Hanover, West Hanover Avenue in Parsippany/Morris/Morris Plains. The 2021 projected projects include Littleton Road in Morris Plains, Columbia Turnpike in Morris Township and  Loantaka Way in Madison,Shunpike Road in Chatham, as well as others.
