MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Morris County Park Commission will be conducting a controlled deer hunt in accordance with its White-tailed Deer Management Program which aims to improve forest health in the parks through the management of the deer population, said the Morris Parks through a press release. These controlled hunts are specifically used as a population management tool, they said.
Lewis Morris Park in Morris Township, Harding and Mendham will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC all day on the following days:

The Black River Facilities in Chester Township which include Cooper Gristmill, Elizabeth D. Kay Environmental Center, Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center, Willowwood Arboretum and the land managed for Chester Township will close on the following dates:

Thursday January 9, 2020
Thursday January 16, 2020
